MP criticises East West Rail preferred route between Bedford and Cambridge

MP Richard Fuller provides his analysis as to why Route E, the East West Rail preferred route between Bedford and Cambridge, is a bad idea. In this video, he questions the lack of a basic business plan, especially when it appears that one of the OxCam Arc’s goals is for massive house-building, including homes for London overspill.

In May 2023, East West Rail announced its preferred route for a new line between Bedford and Cambridge. The preferred route includes a new station at Tempsford and a southerly approach to Cambridge with a new station at Cambourne and a new station Cambridge South near the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.
