Bucks Shadow Authority Consulting on “Community Boards” Ends Monday 30th Sept

On 1 April 2020 there will be a new single council for Buckinghamshire, replacing the current county council and four district councils. Bucks “Shadow Authority” is running a consultation on new Community Boards it wants to set up. It states that becoming a Unitary Authority “provides a unique opportunity to strengthen local democracy, as well as improve services and outcomes for the people of Buckinghamshire. The new council will be called Buckinghamshire Council.”
It also states it wants “to have strong connections with the communities in Buckinghamshire. We want people to have a say in how services are designed and delivered in their local areas. We are therefore proposing setting up community boards in local areas and would like you to share your views on this proposal by completing this short survey.”
This consultation will close at 11:45pm on Monday 30 September 2019.

The No Expressway Group has a group bank account to which the Chair, Secretary and Treasurer are signatories. The group will publish accounts on noexpressway.org each year which will be audited by an accountant from outside the NEG group.
If any funds are left at the end of the campaign, these will be donated equally between RSPB and BBOWT.
