Do our Councillors speak for us, or for Big Business? NDA Update!
As Leader of Bucks County Council, Martin Tett told us that he hadn’t signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with Highways England because he didn’t want to keep things from us. He failed to mention that England’s Economic Heartland (of which he is also Chair) has signed a NDA with Highways England for the Ox-Cam Expressway Project. So what does he know, that we don’t know? And is he serving the electorate, or Big Business?
A Freedom of Information request made by NEG has established that Highways England (HE) asked England’s Economic Heartland (EEH) to sign an NDA so they could discuss detailed route options. EEH signed the NDA on 29th April 2019.
Why do businesses involved in Local Enterprise Partnerships (part of EEH) get to see and provide feedback on, route options, when the general public doesn’t so far?
Aren’t the general public the most important stakeholders in this proposed project?

The No Expressway Group has a group bank account to which the Chair, Secretary and Treasurer are signatories. The group will publish accounts on noexpressway.org each year which will be audited by an accountant from outside the NEG group.
If any funds are left at the end of the campaign, these will be donated equally between RSPB and BBOWT.
