Help make Cherwell District Council next to oppose Ox-Cam Expressway
Will you help make Cherwell District Council (CDC) the 6th council to vote to oppose the Ox-Cam Expressway on 21st October?
CDC will be debate and vote on two motions:
The first motion, proposed by Cllr Barry Wood, Leader of CDC and Chair of the Arc Leaders Group, asking members to review route options when announced and their potential impact on CDC & Oxon plans to 2050, but for CDC to “maintain an open mind” on the Ox-Cam Expressway. They should be doing the work to assess impact of routes anyway.. why do they need a motion on that?
The second better motion, proposed by Cllr Katherine Tyson to oppose the expressway and to ask government to invest the money set aside for the Ox-Cam Expressway in East West Rail and other Public Transport schemes instead.
It is incredibly disappointing that Cllr Barry Wood still doesn’t want CDC to take a position on this issue. Up until now he’s not even wanted a debate on the subject!

£300 could pay for a 3 minutes of an Expressway Story
£500 could pay for a 5 minutes of an Expressway Story
A greater or other amount could contribute to the cost of professional support for our campaign in general and in preparation for Planning Inspectorate hearings

The No Expressway Group has a group bank account to which the Chair, Secretary and Treasurer are signatories. The group will publish accounts on noexpressway.org each year which will be audited by an accountant from outside the NEG group.
If any funds are left at the end of the campaign, these will be donated equally between RSPB and BBOWT.
